Services
TEACH – Educational HRD attempts to bridge the gap between teachers and effective education by offering services in the following areas:
1. Needs assessments in schools & educational institutions
We recognize that every school and educational institution has its own context, culture, success and problems. By using quantitative and qualitative indicators, we identify what these institutions need to be able to improve the efficacy of education that they provide. While our focus remains on teachers, we also evaluate the role of management and administrative policies, the curriculum, institutional history and plans for growth to make our assessment about the process of education.
By ensuring needs assessment remains an important part of our work, we are able to provide specific and contextualized interventions to the schools.
2. Tailored interventions for schools & educational institutions
Interventions include but are not limited to training of teachers and in-house trainers (requisite skills & methodologies), feedback for classroom observations, and review of curriculum and class plans. Trainings we provide cover the scope of professional skills: basic IT skills; spoken English; business communication and research techniques; and skills requisite for effective teaching: constructivism; assessment design; curriculum evaluation and design; developing class plans; differentiation; and using IT for learning.
While our focus remains on teachers, we recognize the how important of school setups are in ensuring teachers are effective in classrooms. We therefore provide schools aid in establishing a culture of collaboration and making teacher leadership real. In some cases, we assist the schools in the development of their vision and subsequently their curriculum.
3. Collaborative platform for teachers
We believe learning strengthens as a consequence of sharing experiences. For teachers, who better to grow with than their colleagues for the same school or outside? Teachers can not only understand each other, but provide emotional and professional support. TEACH – Educational HRD allows teachers from different contexts to come together, discuss and evaluate their experiences, celebrate their successes and overcome their constraints. Indeed collaboration leads to empowerment.
