Aqdus Aslam, Founder & Director
Aqdus Aslam is a graduate from Lahore University of Management Sciences and has an M Phil in Educational Leadership & Management from Beaconhouse National University. She was a participant in US State Department Instructional Leadership for Pakistani Educators Program 2015 and received training at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, US. Aqdus has been a secondary school teacher and student counselor for the last 5 years, and has trained teachers in teaching methodologies and curriculum design. She has designed & implemented various curricula for student (advisory and career) counseling. In these capacities, Aqdus understood the challenges faced by students, teachers and school administration. Her reasons for founding TEACH – Educational HRD are rooted in her recognition that ineffective education is a result of teachers not knowing how to teach. Yet, she also recognizes that the teachers could not be blamed for they lacked the opportunities, approaches and skills to make their teaching effective. From the platform of TEACH – Educational HRD, she strives to remedy the educational circumstances in Pakistan and make teaching and learning meaningful. |
Aleena Tasneem Khan, Team Lead - STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)
Aleena is a graduate from LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences) where she completed her undergraduate degree in Pure and Applied Physics followed by a Masters in Computer Science. She conducted various projects for education development at LUMS and mentored and taught at various different levels. Her focus and interest is on improving and standardizing the quality of science education provided to students at all levels and of all backgrounds. Working on a Tele-Taleem project at LUMS with BAF (Babar Ali Foundation) and DIL (Development in Literacy) allowed her to identify the various problems that the schools in underprivileged areas faced in equipping their students with the necessary skills at primary and secondary levels to flourish in their respective professions. Working as an O level teacher for a further four years at elite schools made her realize that the problems were not limited to underprivileged schools. She is now working at devising new workable strategies and methodologies which will improve the way Science is taught at primary and secondary levels in order to produce students which are more passionate about the why’s and how’s instead of rote learning with minimum monetary investments. |
Saadia Qureshi, Training Consultant
Saadia Qureshi is a Cambridge certified instructor to teach adults and has completed a certification in Materials Development from NILE Institute, UK.
Saadia holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Kinnaird College, Lahore. She has over 12 years of extensive experience working as an English Language instructor for middle school and O Levels, along with holding responsible managerial positions. Saadia has acquired her Leadership training from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA. She has also participated in Cambridge Teachers Conference held at Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK. Moreover, she was a key presenter at the TAKE conference held in Lahore where she presented a research of feedback sessions given by teachers and the impact on students. In addition, she was trained as a Master Trainer for IELTS at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. |
Saadia is a recognized trainer and works as a Training Consultant with British Council and Oxford University Press. She also works in the same capacity with Punjab Judicial Academy and Directorate of Staff Development, along with other private educational/ business organizations.
Saadia strives to bring positivity in the educational sector for public and private schools. Her belief and conviction of uplifting the standard of education in Pakistan, has motivated her to develop materials and programmes for students, teachers, educational leaders, professionals and even parents. She works with an aim of enhancing English Language skills and providing tools to individuals so they become proactive thinkers and contributors of the society.
